Gandhi Punyatithi (Death Anniversary)
Gandhi Memorial Foundation of Chicago (Not for Profit) is an all-inclusive team of volunteers aimed solely at spreading the legacy of Gandhi’s teachings through lecture literature and philosophy. Honorable Consul General of India, Mr. Somnath Ghosh came to observe Martyrs’ Day and joined in paying Homage to Mahatma Gandhiji’s 75th Punyatithi (Death Anniversary) on Monday, Jan 30th, 2023, at ‘Gandhi Statue in Heritage Park. Martyrs’ Day is an annual day observed by nations to salute the martyrdom of soldiers who lost their lives defending the sovereignty of the nation. The Gandhi Punyatithi was hosted by the Chicago Memorial Foundation team and members of the Indian community.
