2015 Annual Fundraiser

An unbelievable amalgamation of immigrant and mainstream community members, about a 1,000 people in the audience gathered to celebrate elderly senior services for the 23rd annual fundraising dinner of Metropolitan Asian Family Services on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Ashyana Banquet Hall India, 1620 75th St., Downer’s Grove, IL 60516.

The event began with the lightning of a traditional lamp by Pandit Jagdishbhai Joshi followed by Ganesh Vandna by the members. Prominent dignitaries in attendance were Mr. Ausaf Sayeed, the Counsel General, India, Mr. Nirav Shah, the Director, Illinois department of Public Health, Michelle Mussaman, State of Representative, Mr. Gopal Lalamalani, the Village President, Oakbrook, Mr. Krishna Bansal, an Outreach Specialist, Naperville, Ms. Marta Pereyra, the Executive director, CLESE who spoke of great appreciation to the splendid home care and adult day care services rendered for immigrant the elderly seniors of Asian Communities at large as well the East European Communities in the Metropolitan Chicago under the dynamic leadership of Mr. and Mrs. Kumar.

Mariachi Universal of Chicago, Illinois took part in making the evening of our fundraiser one to remember with their Mexican Folkloric Music, their heavily voices and their attire. Polonia group captivated the audience with their delightfully graceful Polish Folk Dance in their traditional attire making the annual dinner a fascinating evening. Kathrine Jafri and group with their enchantingly charming Bollywood Dance Act, delighting the seniors and others making a memorable entertainment experience. Arya Dance Academy performed dances choreographed by Shree Desai. Raju Bhankapur & Pratibha Jairath performed Bollywood Music.
