Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines that originated in ancient India. The Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, in his UN address suggested June 21st to be the International Yoga Day because it is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and shares a special significance in many parts of the world. Honoring this day, our Adult Day Care locations celebrated Yoga Day with the Seniors. Yoga is practiced by our seniors every day at all our locations for their well-being. It helps reduce stress, strengthen bones which prevents osteoporosis and other diseases. Last year, The pandemic did not stop our staff to get together with the seniors. They constantly communicated with the seniors via zoom. This year, the seniors felt relieved, excited, and happy to be physically present at our locations to practice Yoga with the other seniors.
