Golden Diners program

GOLDEN DINERS PROGRAM (CHICAGO)

MAFS started the Golden Diners program on October 1, 2001 in its main office with a fully equipped kitchen. Hot meals are prepared by trained cooks in strictly hygienic conditions. This program is in its 11th year of successful operation and is funded by Chicago Department of Family and Support Services. We have also added a Box-Dinner program for the last two years to fulfill the need of seniors who live alone and are unable to cook for themselves. These programs are an effort to break the isolation of seniors and to solve the malnutrition problem faced by ethnic seniors. Over 150,000 meals were served at this location
